Scottish Country Dancing
For 15 years in the UK I played regularly for Scottish country dances, ceilidh dances and Scottish-flavoured
weddings and other celebrations, such as Burns Nights.
I now either offer solo performances for Scottish dancing or am happy to put together a band, depending on your
requirements and budget.
I have a large repertoire of Scottish tunes, many traditional but including some of my original compositions,
and take pride in selecting tunes which best fit the dance.

The Finer Points
Anyone who has taken part in Scottish country dancing knows that the tempo, the lift and the nuance
of the music are what make dancing a real joy. Having first been a dancer, these qualities were embedded
deeply in my psyche before ever I started to play the music.
In short, I know what it takes to make the dancers happy!
